PROPHETIC FORESHADOWS & THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES

Matt. 16:3: “The Signs of the Times”: Matt. 24:3: “What shall be the sign of thy coming?”

“Former Google and Uber Engineer Developing an Artificial Intelligence ‘God’”

A few decades ago, this title would have seemed like one in a science fiction comic book, but not now! Rev. 13:11 declares that the future “beast”—the Anti-Christ—will have a chief lieutenant, who will essentially have the same miraculous powers as the Anti-Christ himself. The prophetic Scriptures in Rev. 13:14-15 state that this second beast will “make an image” to the beast and that he will have power to give the same life producing properties as human beings possess—“power to give life unto the beast, that the image should both speak and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”

This is an artificial “beast” to which the Anti-Christ’s lieutenant grants the equivalent of life-giving human powers. Now this “beast” is NOT some science fiction creation, it is a potential reality. “The concept on an AI [artificial intelligence] ‘god’ may seem outlandish, but a former Google and Uber engineer is touting the idea of a high-tech ‘deity’ as a way to improve society.” The article notes that by 2029, “computers will reach HUMAN LEVELS OF INTELLIGENCE…In fact, Google already uses a bot called the ASSISTANT that can answer just about any web-search related inquiry. The article asks the probable question: “Could we trust and rely on so heavily on a daily basis evolve into a religion or a cult?

The answer is an unequivocal “yes.” A leading atheistic scientist Stephen Hawking says that “artificial intelligence could destroy humanity.”  While, during the second half of the Tribulation Period, all of humanity will NOT be obliterated, this artificial beast, created by the second beast, will have the power to potentially murder and kill multitudes of converted souls. Rev. 13:15 says that all those who refuse to worship this artificial beast will be murdered!

The only action that prohibits this second beast from carrying out his devious plans is that the RAPTURE has NOT YET OCCURRED. When the Rapture takes place, the world will be plunged into the seven year Tribulation period delineated in Dan. 9:27, divided into two 3˝ year periods as several passages in the book of Revelation plainly declare.

According to the news article, yours truly is now reading, “Google’s artificial intelligence computer” is “NO LONGER CONSTRAINED BY LIMITS OF HUMAN KNOWLEDGE.” The news article declares that this “artificial intelligence” will be able to “tell if you’re [actually] slacking off at work.” This AI [artificial intelligence] would actually “provide the equivalent of a ‘Messiah.’"

CONCLUSION

The only event separating the above from becoming a historical reality is the RAPTURE when Christ comes in the air for born-again saints—Titus 2:13, Heb. 9:28. Bible-believing Christians should be intensely involved in the establishing of local N. T. churches via evangelistic, soul-winning endeavors.  This is NOT fantasy. Distributing tracts, witnessing door-to-door, conducting evangelistic campaigns in local churches, etc. was NEVER more important than TODAY.

Fellow believers, don’t delay become involved in an intense evangelistic effort in your local church—Acts 5:42.

U. S. President Officially Recognizes Jerusalem as Israeli Capitol: Will Move Jewish embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem

In 1995, the U. S. Congress officially approved the nomination of Jerusalem as the Jewish capitol. However, every succeeding U. S. President has “kicked” this political can down the historical road. Now, in a decisive act, U. S. President Donald Trump has recognized Jerusalem as the “eternal capital” of Israel, and also approved the move of Israel’s U. S. embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem.

While political sources may not realize the Biblical significance of the U. S. President’s action, the move has magnanimous Scriptural significance. From the prophetic Scriptures, it is clear that Jerusalem is Israel’s ETERNAL capital.  It was Jerusalem where David conquered the Jebusites and Jerusalem became the capital city of this then relatively new nation—II Sam. 7:6-12.

It was in Jerusalem, that Solomon’s elaborate Temple was built and established—I Kings chapters 5-10.  It was in Jerusalem, where the 50,000 exiles from the 70 year Babylonian captivity returned—Ezra and Nehemiah. It was there that a cheaper replica of Solomon’s Temple was built—as the books of Zechariah and Haggai recount.  It was in Jerusalem that Herod’s Temple was 46 years in rebuilding.

Yes, it will be in Jerusalem,  the “eternal” city of the Jews, that Christ will come back to reign over the world for 1,000 years in the “golden history” of humanity as Is. 2:2-4 relates and  Isaiah chapters 4, 11, 12, 14, 16, 26, and numerous other chapters in that book prophetically declare.

During Jesus’ life and the Apostle Paul’s ministry, Jerusalem occupied the central place of Jewish cultural and religious activity. Yes, it was within the scope of that municipality where Jesus was crucified and rose again (though actually outside it geographical boundaries—Heb. 13:11-13),

It is to this “eternal” capital of Israel where Christ will someday return and set up his millennial kingdom as unrivaled king of the Universe. I Kings 11:36 prophetically states: “And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.”

The U. S. President, Donald Trump, may or may not have realized the Biblical significance of his actions, but they have eternal prophetic implications—as the entire books of the Major Prophets, Minor Prophets, and the book of Revelation signify. The U. S. President should be publicly commended for his pro-prophetic  actions, regardless of whether or not he is cognizant of them!
